''Goddess Parvati'' - Wool Dreadlock Accent Set
Named after the Hindu Goddess Parvati and handcrafted in my Yorkshire studio using 100% British wool, this ethereal set of 15 double‑ended dreadlocks is inspired by the soft, shifting colours of mist rolling over mountain peaks. Shades of purple, pink, and blue blend together like dawn light on stone, creating a calm, mystical palette.
Each piece is carefully curated to bring texture, colour, and character to any hair type. They are suitable for people with or without dreadlocks as the individual pieces can be braided into loose hair for a temporary look or pulled through the root base of your own natural locs.
Five of the pieces are wrapped in complementary, and silver, coloured threads, adding delicate texture reminiscent of woven mountain paths. Five more are adorned with silver‑tone beads, catching the light like frost on rock. Also included are three natural Rose Quartz crystals, known for their gentle, heart‑centred energy and soft, soothing light pink glow.

Her name is linked to the Sanskrit parvata, meaning mountain, and she is described as the daughter of Himavan, the personified lord of the mountains. This connection gives her a dual presence as she embodies the stillness, strength, and endurance of the mountains, whilst also representing the fertile, life‑giving energy that flows from them, creating gentleness held within immense power.
As the consort of Shiva, who himself dwells in remote Himalayan peaks, Parvati’s mountain lineage reflects her role as a bridge between the earthly and the divine, the grounded and the transcendent.
